For Taos's first Saturday Artwalk on May 1st, Paula Jones and Peggy McGivern will square off with paintbrushes in hand for "Dueling Paintbrushes." Paula hails from Kansas ranching country; Peggy from the dairy farms of the Midwest. From 4 to 7 p.m., the ladies will be in their corners at Act I Gallery, both painting from the same reference photo. The unveiling will take place at 6:45 p.m., at which time the two artists will see the other's painting for the first time. Peggy and Paula are good pals and painting pardners, but this will be a new experience for them - and all of us! Come join the action at 218 Paseo del Pueblo Norte. This summer she will participate in the Cuchara Hermosa Art Show in Cuchara, Colorado July 16-18th.
Paula is now a part of a permanent collection at Children’s Hospital in Denver, Colorado.
